Wedding: Jode & Rick

April 11, 2015. Almost two in the afternoon. It was beautiful, breezy and sunny day in Coalinga. The location was at a ranch style home. It was quaint. It was intimate. Just a few loved ones to witness them say "I Do." Simply gorgeous. Sometimes I forget the beauty of small town Coalinga. The groom's love for his bride is awing. The bride's wonderment for her groom. Their love for one another is genuine. It was an honor to be part of their special day. Congratulations Jode & Rick! Best wishes from me to you.

11.11.14

It was Tuesday morning and we were getting ready to head out to Coalinga's Veterans Day Parade. It gives me another reason to photograph. I just have to find a reason to photograph. What I didn't expect is how much my daughter would enjoy the parade. She's a very hyperactive 2 year old and we're lucky if she sits, even for a moment.

That cheeser smile!

Her favorite (And mommy's favorite too)

After it was over, we went home. Around 2 o'clock it was our daughter's naptime, my laptop was doing upgrades and I was bored. So I decided to drive around the town and take some more pictures.
These are pretty much around Coaling Station A.

I love when the leaves change colors. Courthouse.

I'm here!

So it finally happened...I'm starting a photography blog. Let me give it a try! So hi everyone! I'm Esmeralda. Here's some things about me.

I'm happily married to my high school sweetheart. We've been together for almost 12 years. We have a pug named Moose and a 2 year old daughter.

I'm a community college graduate with 2 AA degrees: Child Development and Social & Behavioral Science. Neither of those majors are my passion though, but I do have to credit them for how we've been raising our kid. It can also be a curse at times because I know too much. My true passion has always been photography and now I can add another passion which is graphic design. All these majors do bring out the best of my creativity and of the work that has all the potential in the world.

As far as my work, I can't really label it. The inspirations come in all directions. One day I can be passionate about simplicity and other days it can be just my kid. I like to believe that I have variety.

I began to get serious about really pursuing my photography when my dad helped me get my first and only DSLR camera. I got it in September 2009. It's 2014 and all I have to add to my camera is a polarizer lens, a lens cleaner pen, a backup battery, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 and a macro filter set. That's not very much, but it does get the creativity juices flowing and gets me to find other ways to create that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. To this day, I still feel like the first day I got it. I still get excited, except now I know more than I did in 2009. I can credit googling for hours on end and even pinterest in how much I've learned. I definitely know that I haven't even learn a quarter of what is still out there for me.

That's all for now folks! I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes:
“Love is the strongest force the world possesses, and yet it is the
humblest imaginable” -Mahatma Gandhi
